April 5 - Trout Fishing Season

Fishing season starts on April 6 here in Madison County! There is an abundance of fantastic fishing to be had in Madison County. Be sure to check out www.madisoncountyfishing.com to find out where you should fish today!

April 1 - Rich Mountain Firetower

Have you visited the Rich Mountain Firetower yet? It's well worth the trek up the mountain for some gorgeous views as well as peace and quiet.

March 23 - Sam's Gap

Sam's gap on the Appalachian Trail is one of the funnest hikes in Madison County. Nearly 2.5 miles to the top, hikers are rewarded with a great view of the Appalachians mountains. It becomes far more spooky when hiking on a foggy day like we did!

March 15 - Bailey Mountain

Bailey Mountain is the iconic mountain in Mars Hill. A challenging network of trails leads hikers to the top but be sure to check out the view on the way up.

March 8 - Back side of Bailey Mountain

Bailey Mountain has a separate, back entrance that is accessed far less than the front side. The trail system on this end is more rugged and extremely beautiful. We highly recommend exploring this part of Bailey Mountain when you get a chance!
